About Me

Iā€™m Rachael

I completed my training at the University of Southern California where I received a Masters in Social Work from the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work as well as a Masters in Public Administration from the Sol Price School of Public Policy.

I am a trained Acceptance and Commitment Therapist. My practice is rooted in the theories of contextual behavioral science, which takes a closer look at the relationships we have, and how we interact with our past and current environments. I utilize techniques of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Relational Frame Theory (RFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My goal is to assist you in finding mental clarity, a sense of safety to feel your emotions and give you the ability to perform and live a self-directed, full and meaningful life.

I specialize in treating adults who suffer from stress, anxiety and depression. I also offer performance councelling in professional, academic and athletic settings.

Before transitioning into private practice, over eight years ago I provided mental health services to adults in various hospital-based settings in Utah and New York .

I come from a mixed cultural and ethnic background, which provides me a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges that can come with identity and how it relates to the Eastern Asian and Western cultures.

Outside of the office I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and family chasing waves and experiencing new cultures around the world.
